The park is immaculate, well-maintained, and offers an impressive variety of rides, shops, and attractions. The park is divided into different themed areas and is easy to navigate. Fantasyland is good for younger children, while Walt Disney Studios Park is a must-visit for children aged five and up, offering a more unique experience. Buggy hire is available for around €30–€40 a day, which is helpful for families with little ones. Cons Queues for rides and food can take up a significant amount of time. To make the most of your visit, download the Disneyland Paris app beforehand and plan your day. Be sure to factor in parade showtimes if you’d like to see them, and prioritise the rides you most want to experience to avoid disappointment as the park closes. Once inside the park, costs can quickly add up. Bring plenty of drinks and snacks from home to save money. To avoid meltdowns, pack costumes or dress-up accessories for kids ahead of time—princess dresses at the park cost at least €80 each. What is it? “Disneyland Paris is so much more than just a theme park. It offers a thrilling mix of rollercoasters, enchanting boat rides like It’s A Small World (a must for young families), and immersive simulator experiences—our favourites were Spider-Man Adventure and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. The park also features a shopping mall and live shows, though we didn’t have time to explore those during our visit.” Overall Thoughts… “Disneyland Paris was far more magical than I had anticipated for the European version. Surprisingly, it was just as enjoyable for me as a parent. My daughter, Aria (5), and son, Remi (8), were the perfect ages to enjoy most of the park, meeting height restrictions for the majority of rides except for the larger rollercoasters.” Is it Worth it? “Even though our visit was generously sponsored by a charity, I would absolutely pay for this experience knowing how incredible it is.” Any Downsides? “I wouldn’t recommend taking children under the age of five. Covering most of the park in one day is nearly impossible with toddlers.” What is The Magical Black Taxi Tour? “My daughter, Aria, was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma at 10 months old. After chemotherapy and life-saving spinal cord surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital, she is now thriving. We were kindly invited on this trip by Magical Taxi Tour, a charity that provides sick children with a much-needed break from therapy and treatment. They organise a three-day, all-expenses-paid trip to Disneyland Paris. We travelled as part of a convoy of over 100 London taxis, leaving Canary Wharf in London and heading to Disneyland Paris. The taxi drivers generously donate their time and vehicles, with the trip funded by private sponsors. We are forever grateful to Magical Taxi Tour, and our taxi driver and park chaperone, who we fondly named Diamond Dave, for creating such cherished memories for our family.” Find out more lh The Mum Club25 November 2024 ← The Best Things for a Newborn → The Hotlist: The Best Things to Do in December
