Their 'MumHood community' is just a 'Frame' in the life of their Framers, who tend to carry on Framing post baby... All connected by a common understanding that by fitting regular movement seamlessly into your life, you will be happier and healthier, supporting your journey through MumHood and the ups and downs it can bring. Leto - Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Your body undergoes many changes during pregnancy and continues to change postnatally. As a new mother, you will inevitably feel anxious about these changes and your recovery. Following childbirth, most women experience weakness in the abdominal and pelvic floor muscles with reduced core strength and stability. Post-delivery, it is also common to experience pain and discomfort in the pelvic area and as many as 1 in 3 women experience postnatal urinary incontinence, 30% are still experiencing painful intercourse at six months, and 60% will have non-optimal abdominal separation at six weeks post-childbirth. It is essential to address any issues that occur at this time to prevent problems such as leaking, back pain, pelvic pain, heaviness or dragging, prolapse, incontinence and abdominal separation later in life. New mothers need to know that help is available to them and how and who to seek this from. At LETO their team is dedicated to supporting women through all stages of life through the provision of clinically excellent pelvic health physiotherapy. Founded in 2021 (by an ex Mumhood goer!), they have brought together some of the country’s most respected pelvic health physiotherapists, each with their particular interests and expertise. Today, they are a team of five specialist pelvic health and MSK physiotherapists across 2 London clinics in Parsons Green (SW6) and Queen's Park (NW6). Their team understands the importance of a collaborative approach, and work together with their clients and their clinical and fitness providers to ensure you achieve the resilience you need to achieve your goals and life your life with confidence and trust in your body! Lauren Wolfe Espinal: Lauren is one of LETO's most experienced physiotherapists, having worked within the NHS and private sector for over 17 years. With a passion for women’s health, she has used the latter half of her career to specialise in pelvic health. She is also trained in acupuncture, is a Pilates instructor with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute, and as a Health Coach with the College of Naturopathic Medicine. Lauren is committed to keeping fit and healthy. She has swum and played lacrosse competitively in the past. She goes to the gym regularly, enjoys cycling and hiking and practices what she preaches with regular Pilates and Yoga. Lauren’s commitment to well-being empowers her clients as she strives to ensure each has the knowledge, resources, inspiration and support to facilitate their recovery, make ongoing healthy lifestyle choices, and enjoying life to the full.
