Overall Thoughts

As a first-time parent, I was so excited to go to The Baby Show as I had a few things in mind that I wanted to see in person, but I was also keen to discover new brands and products we might need. Entering the show, I loved the buzz of the atmosphere with so many others in the same situation as us.

“If you want advice, to test out products *with discounts, discover new brands and prepare for your new arrival, then The Baby Show is where you need to be.”

What is it?

UK’s largest and best-loved pregnancy, baby and parenting events. The Baby Show is a one-stop-shop for parent and baby products, services and advice that allows parents to try, compare and buy products.

Was it good value?

Definitely, it can feel quite overwhelming when shopping for what you need for a new baby, but having them all in one place with all the information you need and all the experts there to answer any questions, it’s made a lot easier.

Would you recommend it?

100% worth it. I had a great experience and highly recommend it! Something I found so helpful was the in-person demonstrations of prams and the use of them across a circuit made up of different terrains – it was brilliant for testing them out. There were many bundle deals available too, so it’s worth spending some time figuring out what will work best for you and taking advantage of the available show offers.

Top Tips for Making the Most of Your Visit to The Baby Show with Lidl GB at Olympia London this October.

1. Get Discounted Tickets: Save on your entry by purchasing tickets in advance. The Mum Club has an exclusive code to save £8 on-the-door*

2. Prep and Research: Familiarise yourself with the brands and products at the show. The show boasts both well-known and unique brands. Check the exhibitor list, as new ones may be added closer to the event. It’s your best opportunity to compare, test and feel products before you buy rather than just seeing them online.

3. Make a Shopping List: Make a checklist of must-haves and nice-to-haves. The array of products can be overwhelming, so having a list will keep you focused on your baby essentials.

4. Stick to a Budget: Baby gear costs can add up quickly. Set a spending limit to prevent overspending. While browsing, compare prices online to ensure you get the best deal.

5. Ask the Experts: Take advantage of the chance to ask experts questions. The Baby Show has some of the UK’s leading experts on various topics, from weaning to midwifery and sleep, available for support and guidance. Speakers on the Live Talks Stage include Charlotte Stirling-Reed, The Modern Midwife, Heidi Skudder, Midwife Pip, My Expert Midwife, Annabel Karmel, Calm & Bright Sleep Support and Daisy First Aid, not to mention all the product experts to help you make your ideal product choices.
