The food is exceptionally good, I’ve not eaten that well as a parent for a long time! It’s really affordable but feels luxe and special. You get private use of the spa facilities so no sharing saunas with strangers! Stunning Barns, Studios or Shepherd’s Huts to choose from and plenty of fun activities to do from yoga to axe throwing. Cons Having to leave! Overall thoughts I recently took 24 hours off parenting and headed to Retreat East in the Suffolk countryside. It was everything my mind, body and soul needed. Private spa facilities, outdoor baths, exceptional food, A LAY IN and absolute peace and quiet. I completely switched off from being Mum and let the wonderful surroundings of Retreat East look after me. It’s a real slice of luxury, at a really affordable price with an accommodation style to suit everyone. You can tell so much thought and care has gone into creating such a beautiful retreat – from the interiors (the comfiest bed imaginable) to the seasonal menu and beyond. Whilst they do cater for children and dogs, I’d 100% recommend treating yourself to some adult time. What is it? A sustainable retreat with luxury accommodation and spa facilities in the heart of the Suffolk countryside to relax, unwind and take in some fresh air. Every parent needs this time out. My expectations were exceeded and it gave me the opportunity to unwind, recharge my batteries and get some well deserved ‘me’ time. The Retreat East looked after me rather than me looking after everyone and that was a blessing. Retreat East would also be the perfect place for a well needed girls pamper weekend with your friends.
