It’s the most wonderful time of the year and I cannot wait to get together with you all to do one of the most festive activities going; wreath making! So grab your best Christmas jumper and come and enjoy a fantastic evening. We are so lucky to be having the absolutely fabulous Leanne from Wildstone Floral leading us through the workshop to make Fresh to Dry Festive Willow Wreaths. Created with an eclectic selection of fresh materials which have been chosen for their ability to dry, and secured with twine onto a woven willow frame. Materials will be both locally sourced and imported, with the frame constructed from 100% Suffolk grown organic willow. Adorned with a generous length of hessian ribbon to finish. We shall be creating a half frame design, and discuss a variety of placement options prior to construction. These wreaths are lightweight, and are most suited to a covered porch or interior space. They are not an ‘all-weather’ wreath like their heavily mossed counterparts. Depending on where displayed, they should dry beautifully and last until the early spring, with some dropping and colour changes to be expected. Once the spring arrives, the willow frame can be repurposed for an Easter wreath project, or affixed to bamboo canes to create a plant support in the garden. All materials are supplied, but feel free to bring your own secateurs. Please note, that some materials may release sap and have some sharp fronds, so those with sensitive skin are recommended to bring a pair of close-fitting gardening gloves from home. Full care instructions will be supplied via email. Taking approximately two hours, this workshop will be conducted whilst standing, with limited seating available. The ticket will include: - All wreath making materials - 1 drink on arrival - Selection of nibbles - 1 mince pie And a few other delightfully festive surprises along the way. The Barn at Sollo will also have their bar open so there is the opportunity to buy additional drinks if wanted. Spaces are limited so be quick to purchase. Cannot wait to see you there Natalie X Tickets are non-refundable & non-transferable
