As we’re all very aware. So, what items make your mum life that bit easier? Molly Mae shares her mum must-haves… 1. My Favourite Thing Ever “This is just my favourite thing ever. I had the smaller version and decided to treat myself to the larger one. I have a lemongrass scent that I add in, and I also use SPA restore from the white company. There’s no better feeling than when I put this on, and the kitchen is clean. It literally makes the house smell like a spa.” Shop Now 2. How I Protect my Mental Health “I try and do a few little bits for me is key to feeling good and keeping my mental health balanced. It helped me feel like me again after I had Bambi. Doing little bits for myself makes me ready to go back to being a mum. I feel ready to do it again because I’ve had a little break, even if I’m going to do a bit of work. Then I can’t wait to go back to her.” 3. Favourite Weaning Item “These little food nets are so good and amazing for them to try fruit and veg.” Shop Now 4. Favourite Brand for Sleepsuits and Bodysuits “Mori without question. Their zip-up sleepsuits are literally my favourite thing ever for Bambi. Mamas and Papas also do lovely ones too, and they’re slightly cheaper.” Shop Now 5. The Best Item to Pack in Your Hospital Bag “The one thing that no one told me to pack (and wasn’t on the lists online), which luckily my sister was able to bring me whilst I was in labour, was a SOFT blanket. It changed my whole labour experience. Hospital bed sheets literally feel like you’re sleeping on tissue paper (understandably, as they have a lot of beds to cover!) and were so uncomforting in an already uncomfortable situation. So, a blanket to lie on is my absolute essential. It literally made me feel so much better.” Shop Now 6. My Post-Partum Essential “Disposable underwear is KEY. I thought I bought way too many, but I absolutely didn’t have enough. I probably used 4-5 a day for the first month and continued to use them in the months after too.” Shop Now 7. Best Gift for New Mums “I’d probably say some batch-cooked meals. I had a few friends that did this for me, and I valued it more than anything. They brought me round home cooked stews, pies, lasagnes, and freshly baked cakes… was just the best thing ever and really helped me with getting my appetite after birth. (The only time in history I lost my appetite).” Shop Now 8. The Importance of a Statement Coat Molly loves a statement and coat, and whether you have three minutes to get ready or thirty, a good jacket is such a handy tool to throw on over any outfit and look instantly put together.
