Cons Bigger sizes might be hard to fit in standard washing machines Overall thoughts I thought washing a rug wouldn’t be possible, but this works. I went for the Iris Apfel Birds of a Feather design, which looks like a work of art. I was sceptical that it wouldn’t be as nice after washing, but it came out brand new. There’s also no need to add rug grippers as you can add a cushioned Rug Pad to your order, and this not only makes the rug feel soft underfoot but acts as an anchor to the floor. The only downside might be the size of your machine. I opted for a larger rug to fill the playroom floor, which just about fits in mine. But unless you have a huge drum, you might want to remember this when choosing sizes. Otherwise, it may mean a trip to the dry cleaners – not the end of the world, but worth considering. What is it? Iris Apfel Birds Of A Feather Green & Peach Rug Washable Rug. Is it good value? Yes, rugs are expensive, so I wouldn’t say they were ‘cheap’, but these rugs are certainly value for money and offer so much variety and a range of prices it can work for all budgets. Would you recommend it? Definitely, the quality is excellent, and they’re affordable. There’s a vast range to choose from, and the fact that you can wash them makes them so unique. If you’ve ever spent a fortune on a rug and attempted to remove a stain, you’ll understand why this is so good!
