The Best Places in the UK These places prove you don’t have to board a plane to feel like you’ve had a real break. Best For Non-Stop Fun… Soho Farmhouse, Oxfordshire A boozy boutique stay that makes for a real treat. Order the cocktail van to your cabin, ride around on your bikes, hit the spa, have a delicious dinner in the Japanese restaurant, Pen, or watch a movie in the cinema. A break of dreams! Book now Best for Adventure (& Spa)… Brimstone Spa, Lake District Set in the stunning Lake District, this gorgeous hotel houses luxury rooms and a spa to die for. There’s even a reading room that has complimentary wine and snacks. Great for those who want to head out for adventure and come home to pure pampering. Book now Best for Food & Relaxtion… The Pig Hotels, Nationwide Dotted around the country is a set of boutique hotels offering a standard of luxury, comfort, and food that never disappoints. If you haven’t stayed at one of The Pig’s hotels yet, you’re in for a treat. Restaurants with rooms: Our favourite is The New Forest as the surrounding area is so relaxing, but we’ve heard great things about The Pig on The Beach, and of course, Bath is a favourite for many. Book now A Fun & Eclectic Stay… Estelle Manor, Oxfordshire Estelle Manor is an exclusive private members club that non-members can stay at. Stay here for pure luxury, and fun. Decorated with eclectic and opulent interiors, the hotel has a stunning outside pool that is made for lounging. There’s also a George Northwood hair salon, so you can finally get your hair done without worrying about childcare. Once you’re pampered and preened, you can head to one of the stunning restaurants for a delicious dinner and cocktails. Book now A Chic Countryside Spa… Lime Wood Hotel, The New Forest Another New Forest wonder, Lime Wood, is laid-back luxury at its best and usually, one we can’t afford, but girls’ trips often mean shared beds and shared costs. The spa is one of the best in the country, the rooms are incredibly beautiful, and the restaurant and bar make for a very cool hangout before sinking into extremely comfy beds. Book now Short Haul Stays Long flights = wasted time relaxing / drinking cocktails on the beach. Best for a Night Out… Biarritz, France This small seaside town houses a great selection of restaurants, bars, and clubs (if you can stay up that late). With beaches you can surf or stroll on. There’s so much to do here, and even though Biarritz seems small, it packs in a lot. Even the shops are brilliant. And the hotel choices are just as good. If you’re up for a splurge, check out the Regina Experimental, but we suggest checking out Hotel Silhouette as it’s in the perfect location just across from the fresh food markets and halls. Book now The City That Has it All… Barcelona, Spain A bold claim, but Barcelona really does have it all. Spend your days at the beach or strolling around the shops, book a food tour, see the sights, or enjoy the incredible restaurants and bars. Plot your stay at the Kimpton Vividora Hotel, which is just off Las Ramblas and has a rooftop pool and a brilliant little restaurant. They even host a complimentary wine hour for guests, and the hotel has a small spa for massages and more. Book now The Place to Feel Zen… Tagazout, Morocco This surfer’s paradise has started to attract more recent attention, with hotels popping up along its very long coastline. The main town is still very rugged, with cool hippie bars and restaurants. Yoga fans will love Surf Maroc, which hosts packages for surf and yoga, or if you fancy taking it at your own pace, there are simple room rates too. Their beach bbqs sell out and are not to be missed, and nearby are some seriously excellent restaurants and bars. Want a more luxurious stay? Head to the Fairmont to enjoy their incredible spa, the best breakfast buffet we’ve ever seen and a Japanese restaurant that makes you feel like you’re floating on water. Book now A Foodie Haven With Tons to Do… San Sebastian, Spain Located in the Basque region, San Sebastian is one of the best places to go to for fine dining, with a total of 11 Michelin-starred restaurants. But you don’t have to sample great food by booking into one because it’s everywhere you go. Even simple bars and restaurants serve delicious Pinxos (small tapas dishes). And it’s not all about food, there are some brilliant bars and shops. Plus, you can cycle around the city, soak up some culture, paddle board, book in for a vineyard tour and visit Monte Igueldo (an incredible vintage amusement park with a seriously photographic view). Oh, and if you need another reason to go. Nobu just opened a new hotel. Book now The Mum Club19 October 2023 ← Reviewed By Us: Leclercbaby Influencer Air Stroller → 7-Minute Energy Boosting Exercises
